MEMOLI

MEMOLI is an Italian manufacturer of metal bending machines, founded in 1967 in Milan and building bending machines continuously for more than 55 years. Starting from a small artisan workshop, the company gradually developed its technology to keep pace with today's production requirements. Each MEMOLI machine is configured individually for each customer, assembled from many combinations of models, machine sizes and accessories. All components are made in-house at the factory in Italy. The research centre and the production workshop are located at the same site, so faults are resolved quickly and new machines reach the market sooner.

In 1970, the company designed and patented the first Eureka machine. In 1974, the motorised universal bending machine Eurekamatic appeared. In 1997, MEMOLI merged with the mechanical workshop OMV, carrying out every production stage itself. From 1998, the headquarters moved to Concorezzo, in the province of Monza and Brianza. The ETM mandrel-less tube bending range was launched in 2000. The ETM range was later extended up to the ETM 150 for the petrochemical and construction sectors.

In the recent period, MEMOLI developed the Digital Bend Programming touch screen software in 2018. In 2019, the company added remote connectivity in line with Italy's Industry 4.0 programme. In 2020, the ACH 3-axis CNC tube bending range appeared. In 2021, the semi-automatic hybrid ETM-H range was added. In 2024, MEMOLI invested in reviving SIMASV, a long-established Italian maker of horizontal hydraulic press brakes. The company's customer service commits to handling faults within 24 hours. MEMOLI machines are known for being easy to use, so that even newcomers to the trade can make full use of the machine's capabilities.

Development milestones

• 1967: The MEMOLI company is founded in Milan, one of the most industrially developed areas of northern Italy. The company name is taken from the name of its founder, Mr Mariano Memoli.
• 1970: The company designs, builds and obtains a patent for the first Eureka machine.
• 1974: The first motorised universal bending machine, Eurekamatic, appears, a turning point during a lively industrial period.
• 1997: MEMOLI merges with OMV, short for Officine Meccaniche Vergani, meaning the Vergani Mechanical Workshop. From this point the company controls and carries out every production stage itself.
• 1998: MEMOLI moves to Concorezzo, in the province of Monza and Brianza, into the OMV premises.
• 1999: The company opens sales and service operations in North America, together with a partner based in the state of Alabama. This allows MEMOLI to expand rapidly on the US market.
• 2000: The ETM mandrel-less tube bending range is launched with its first two models, the ETM 60 and the ETM 76.
• 2003: MEMOLI expands its scale and moves to a new production facility.
• 2008: The tube bending range gains a model able to bend tubes of 90 mm diameter with a wall thickness of 6 mm.
• 2012: To better meet customer requirements, the company develops tube bending machines with hydraulic clamping and a mandrel.
• 2016: The company designs the ETM 150 for the ETM range, serving the petrochemical and construction sectors. The machine bends tubes up to Ø150 mm with a wall thickness of 9 mm.
• 2018: The company designs and puts into production the Digital Bend Programming Touch Screen control software, very easy to use via the touch screen.
• 2019: MEMOLI develops a remote connectivity programme for its new tube bending machines. This follows the National Plan for Industry 4.0 of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
• 2020: MEMOLI introduces the ACH 3-axis CNC tube bending range, bending in-line tubes up to 65 mm in diameter. This is a fully automatic machine with 3 CNC axes: the Y bending axis, the X feed axis and the Z rotation axis.
• 2021: Launch of the ETM-H semi-automatic hybrid tube bending range, suited to thin-walled tubes without deforming the tube. The bending step runs automatically, while feeding and rotating the tube between bends is done manually. The range is compact, highly efficient and reasonably priced, standing out for its simplicity, sturdiness and accuracy.
• 2022: For its 55th anniversary, MEMOLI renews its identity and introduces a new company logo.
• 2024: MEMOLI Bending Machines invests in reviving SIMASV, a long-established maker of horizontal hydraulic press brakes. The SIMASV brand joins the MEMOLI group, retaining its existing machine-building know-how.
