Non-sparking tools serve mechanical work in areas containing petrol vapour, gas or chemical dust. This tool group uses copper alloys instead of steel, limiting sparks on impact. The range brings together 46 ELORA codes, covering wrenches, adjustable wrenches, socket sets, pliers, hammers, chisels, shovels and flashlights. Each code states its size and material according to the manufacturer's documentation.
The two main alloys found in this group are aluminium–bronze (Al-Br) and copper–beryllium (Cu-Be). The 309A- torque wrench uses AlBr, with a hardness of 25-30 HRC and tensile strength of 782-989 N/mm². The 770-LM CuBe socket uses copper beryllium, with a hardness of 35-40 HRC and tensile strength of 1117-1326 N/mm². The documentation records the tensile strength of CuBe as higher than that of AlCu material.
The wrench group covers combination types, striking ring types, open-end striking types and chain wrenches. The 01300 combination wrench is forged from aluminium–bronze alloy. The 0030 open-end striking wrench covers the metric system, while 00300S follows the imperial system, meeting DIN 133 in AlBr material. The 0341-CuBe box wrench suits confined positions.
The 86-CuBe striking ring wrench covers sizes 17-150mm. The imperial version 86A-CuBe runs from 11/16" to 4.1/8 inch, in a 12-point ring pattern to DIN. For pipes and round parts, the 052-AlBr chain wrench clamps diameters of ∅38-300mm in a heavy duty design. The 722000- chain pipe wrench extends the clamping range to ∅50-450mm, in aluminium–bronze material.
The 048-Al-Br adjustable wrench has a length of 150-600mm, a jaw opening of 18-67mm, a handle with rounded edges and a hanging hole. The copper beryllium version 048-CuBe keeps the same 18-67mm jaw opening range. The 053-AlBr pipe wrench is 230-1205mm long with an opening up to 5 inch. The 75-CuBe pipe wrench uses Cu-Be alloy.
For pipework, the 05100 pipe wrench has jaws angled at 45°, with an opening of 1-4 inch depending on size. The 90° jaw version 05101 is made of bronze, with an opening of 1.1/2 - 2 inch. Where tightening force must be controlled, the 309A- torque wrench covers a torque range of 5-900Nm with magnetic material 1.2 as described by the manufacturer.
The socket group serves bolt removal and fitting in refineries, chemical warehouses and gas stations. The 27-piece 0430002S socket set uses aluminium-bronze alloy with roughly 9-10% aluminium, 4-5% nickel, 4-5% iron and 0.8-2.5% manganese. The 12-piece 0430003S set includes a 500mm T-sliding bar and a 380mm extension bar, with a 3/4 inch square drive.
Individual sockets come in several profiles. The 035.CuAl code is a metric 6-point type with a 3/4" square drive in AlBr alloy. The 03500-S long socket is a 6-point type with a 1/2" square drive. The 12-point version 770-LM CuBe runs in sizes 8-32mm. The 0360012C ratchet handle is 250mm long with a 1/2 inch square drive.
The 9991082C torque wrench has a 1/2 inch square drive, a force range of 30-150Nm, reversing via a lever, and a weight of 1500g. For hex keys, the 025006C set includes 1.5-10mm ball-end keys mounted in a plastic holder with a hanging hook. The imperial set 0250002S has 10 keys, in sizes from 1/16 inch to 3/8 inch.
Metric L-shaped flat hex keys include the 025000 set and the long version 025000L, in bronze material, packed in a plastic holder with each key numbered. The individual key 0250- uses Al-Br material to DIN 911. The 0800-C slotted screwdriver has a blade width of 3-6.5mm for electrical work.
The copper beryllium pliers group has a hardness of 35-40 HRC as described by the manufacturer. The 0661650C side cutting pliers are 165mm long with hard plastic coated handles. The heavy duty version 0662650C is 200mm long. The 0662651C code is 190mm long with insulated plastic coated handles. The 0631800C long nose pliers are 180mm long with an integrated cutting edge.
The 492-Al Br side cutting pliers have a length of 150-200mm. The 9991031C bolt cutter is 620mm long, weighs 3400g, in Al-Br alloy. The 060-plier multi-purpose flat nose pliers use bronze, in 160mm and 200mm sizes. The 08100 cross-head screwdriver and the 080xxxxC slotted screwdriver use Cu-Be alloy, with the C marking denoting the material.
The 103F square head hammer has a bronze head and a fibreglass handle with anti-slip ribs, weighing from 1kg to 10kg. The 1130F hexagon head hammer runs from 1000g to 8000g. The 153125-AlBr shovel has a 340mm long blade, 260mm width, a 1400mm handle and weighs 1850g. These two codes are often used together when handling powder, residue or spilled material in areas where heat sources are restricted.
Handheld lighting in areas with flammable gas requires separately certified lamps. The 336-EX 35 lamp gives 35 lumens output and a beam distance of 64m. The 336-EX 77 version reaches 77 lumens, a beam distance of 100m and water resistance to a depth of 3m, to the standard ATEX 0174 X, II 2G Ex e ib IIC T4 II 2D Ex ibD 21 T98°C.
The 601505 code is ATEX certified, with IP67 protection, using an LED with CREE XP-E technology. Illumination at a distance of 114m is 114 lux, powered by AA batteries. When choosing a lamp, compare the hazardous zone classification on site with the marking code on the lamp body and the accompanying technical documentation.
The first step is to determine the material required: Al-Br or Cu-Be, based on the hardness and tensile strength requirements stated for each code. Next, check the measurement system of the bolts, metric or imperial, to choose the correct socket set and hex keys. For controlled tightening work, give priority to the suitable torque range between 9991082C and 309A-.
