Removing the sharp inner burr left after pipe cutting is the job of the REMS REG 28 – 108 deburrer, article 113840, covering Ø 28 – 108 mm, Ø ¾ – 4 inch. Its conical head carries several cutting edges and centres itself in the pipe bore, worked by hand or driven from a REMS Cento pipe cutter's cutter wheel shaft.
The internal pipe deburring tool REMS REG 28 – 108 chamfers and cleans the inside edge of cut pipes. Its working range covers Ø 28 – 108 mm, or Ø ¾ – 4 inch. The conical head has several cutting edges arranged around a tapered body. That geometry lets the head find the pipe bore and sit concentric with it. You can turn the deburrer by hand for single cuts on site.
For repeat work, mount it on the cutter wheel drive shaft of a REMS Cento pipe cutter. It also runs on REMS Akku-Cento 22 V with cutter wheel Art. No. 845050 or 845053. The pipe rotates, the head stays engaged, and the burr is cut away in one pass. A clean inner edge makes fitting easier and reduces damage to seals during assembly. Steel, stainless steel and copper pipes are all within scope.
Article 113840 handles a wide diameter band with a single head, so no size change is needed between ¾ inch and 4 inch pipes. Body and cutting edges are hardened tool steel. The taper guides the tool into the bore and keeps contact even around the circumference. The result is a smooth chamfer without a raised lip inside the pipe wall.
The deburrer takes its rotation from the cutter wheel shaft of the pipe cutter. That shaft already turns under electric drive, so no separate motor is required. On the cordless machine, a matching cutter wheel must be fitted first. The operator brings the head to the pipe mouth while the pipe turns on the rollers. Chamfering then happens during the same setup as the cut.
Working order is short. Cut the pipe, keep it clamped, then move the head into the bore. Adjust until the cutting edges touch evenly. Let the shaft rotate and feed lightly until the burr is gone. Remove the tool and check the inside surface before fitting.
Hardened cutting edges suit the metal pipes normally cut on a Cento machine. Steel, stainless steel and copper are all listed by REMS for this deburrer. The chamfer leaves no sharp edge inside the pipe wall. That matters when a press fitting, a threaded joint or a welded joint follows the cut. An intact seal ring holds pressure better in water and gas lines.
Pipe preparation in plumbing and drinking water installation is the main use. HVAC contractors use it on heating and chilled water lines before joining. Pipe fabrication shops run it directly after each cut on the cutting machine. Maintenance teams keep it as a hand tool for repairs where no machine is available. It also serves building services work where press fittings with seal rings are assembled on site.
REMS lists the tool as REG 28 – 108, article 113840, for internal pipe deburring in the Ø 28 – 108 mm range. Drive is taken from the cutter wheel shaft of REMS Cento or REMS Akku-Cento 22 V. Cutter wheels 845050 and 845053 are named as the compatible wheels for that drive.
