5 litre pressure sprayer EPOCA Solare 5 for garden watering

The 5 litre pressure sprayer EPOCA Solare 5 is a portable, hand-operated unit with a detachable wand, manufactured in Italy. It is ideal for watering and plant protection tasks that require a larger liquid charge. The tank holds 5400 ml, with 4320 ml as the usable liquid volume. Its funnel-shaped mouth simplifies pouring and refilling.

Pressure is generated by an integrated piston pump. The pump handle is stored inside the tank and serves as a carrying grip when transporting the unit. A relief valve automatically opens if tank pressure exceeds 3 bar, preventing over-pressurisation. The spray jet is also limited to a maximum of 3 bar. The wand is detachable and connects to the tank via a flexible, mesh-reinforced rubber hose. This sprayer is commonly used by households, farms, nurseries, and ornamental plant growers.

5 litre pressure sprayer EPOCA Solare 5 construction and operation

Tank, filling and carrying

The body is made from recyclable plastic, standing 500 mm tall with a Ø150 mm barrel. Its wide funnel mouth accommodates a measuring jug for spill-free dilution of concentrates. The empty weight is 1300 g, making it easy to handle even when filled. A detachable shoulder strap aids movement between plant rows or along greenhouse benches.

• Tank capacity: 5400 ml
• Usable liquid volume: 4320 ml
• Body height: 500 mm; barrel diameter: Ø150 mm
• Empty weight: 1300 g
• Funnel-shaped filling mouth
• Detachable shoulder strap

Maintaining the fill at the usable volume leaves an air chamber above the liquid, which stores pressure and keeps the spray jet steady between pumps. Overfilling reduces spray time per charge and requires more frequent pumping. After use, rinsing the tank and hose helps prevent residue buildup in the nozzle and hose mesh.

Pump, pressure and safety valve

The piston pump is built into the tank, with a removable 650 mm handle that also acts as a carrying grip. Pumping increases internal pressure until the working level is reached. The safety valve releases excess pressure above 3 bar, preventing dangerous buildup. Jet pressure at the nozzle is similarly capped at 3 bar during operation.

• Maximum pressure: 3 bar
• Integrated piston pump with removable handle
• Pump handle length: 650 mm
• Safety relief valve against over-pressure
• Pump handle doubles as carrying handle

Operation is straightforward: fill, close, pump to pressure, and spray until the jet weakens. A few extra pumps restore pressure without opening the tank. The relief valve should be kept clean to ensure proper venting. If the valve leaks continuously, stop pumping and clean the seat before further use.

Wand, hose and nozzle

Spraying is performed with a 360 mm hand-held wand, connected to the tank by a pressure-rated flexible hose with mesh reinforcement for durability. The adjustable nozzle tip allows for a fine mist or a concentrated stream, suitable for different applications. The separate wand enables spraying under leaves and into tight spaces.

• Wand length: 360 mm
• Hand-held wand linked by reinforced flexible hose
• Adjustable nozzle tip for jet pattern
• Wand fully detachable from the tank

Set the nozzle before use to match droplet size to the task. Mist patterns cover foliage evenly and use less liquid, while a concentrated jet reaches higher branches or soil pockets. Rinse the nozzle with clean water after each use to maintain consistent spray and prevent clogging.

Common applications

Typical uses include garden watering, misting ornamental plants, and applying pesticides or fertilizers to crops.

Households use it for potted plants, hedges, and small vegetable beds. Farms, nurseries, and seedling suppliers rely on it for routine plant protection. The 4320 ml charge and 3 bar jet are also suitable for cleaning tasks, such as spraying detergent solutions onto surfaces, greenhouse benches, or equipment before rinsing.
