5 litre pressure sprayer EPOCA Star 5 for garden watering

The 5 litre pressure sprayer EPOCA Star 8404.S01 is designed for manual watering and plant treatment in gardens. Its plastic tank provides a total internal volume of 6340 ml, with 5 litres of usable liquid. A hand-operated piston pump increases the internal pressure, allowing the lance to dispense liquid through an adjustable nozzle. This unit is manufactured in Italy.

The pump handle features a safety lock and also serves as the carrying handle. A safety valve automatically releases excess pressure above 3 bar. The lance can be clipped into the pump handle from either side for convenient storage. Simply press lightly on the slot in the handle to secure it. A 1.2 m reinforced rubber hose connects the tank to the spray grip. The removable shoulder strap distributes weight for extended use. The sprayer is supplied in a carton with accessories and instruction materials.

Key features of the 5 litre pressure sprayer EPOCA Star

The design is straightforward: a pressurised tank, hose, grip, and lance. Each component can be detached for cleaning or storage.

Tank and pump construction

The moulded plastic body keeps the empty weight low for easy one-handed carrying. The piston pump is located in the tank neck and locks down after use. The same handle is used for carrying, eliminating the need for an additional grip. The safety valve ensures pressure does not exceed the 3 bar working limit. The shoulder strap can be attached or removed in seconds.

• Usable capacity: 5 litres
• Total tank volume: 6340 ml
• Piston pump handle with safety lock, also used as the carrying handle
• Safety valve releases pressure above 3 bar
• Reinforced rubber pressure hose, 1.2 m long
• Removable shoulder strap

The plastic construction is suitable for water, foliar feeds, and common garden liquids. After use, empty the tank and release any remaining pressure. Rinse the hose and lance to keep the nozzle clear. When stored with the lance clipped in place, the sprayer occupies minimal shelf space. The strap can remain attached or be removed for compact storage.

Spray output and reach

Spray output varies with the nozzle setting. In jet mode, the stream reaches approximately 8.5 m, making it easy to water tall shrubs or distant beds. In mist mode, the spray cone opens to 60 degrees and the flow rate decreases, providing finer coverage. The combined length of the pump handle and lance is 550 mm, allowing access under leaves.

• Jet range: 8.5 m
• Maximum spray cone angle: 60 degrees
• Flow in jet mode: 0.83 litres per minute
• Flow in mist mode: 0.47 litres per minute
• Combined pump handle and lance length: 550 mm
• Adjustable nozzle for jet or mist

Switch between settings by rotating the nozzle tip on the lance. Begin with a wide cone for even leaf coverage, and narrow it when distance is required. The lower flow in mist mode allows a single tank fill to cover a larger area. Re-pressurise the tank whenever the spray weakens to maintain optimal performance.

Common applications

This sprayer is ideal for home gardens, balconies, and nurseries.

Typical uses include watering seedlings, wetting foliage, and applying liquid fertilisers. It is also suitable for applying plant protection products to vegetables and ornamentals.

Outside of horticulture, the 5 litre size is useful for light cleaning tasks, such as wetting surfaces before washing. Small workshops can use it to apply mould release agents or detergent solutions in mist mode. The shoulder strap is helpful when moving between rows or terraces.

Assembly notes from the instruction material

Accessories are supplied loose: spray grip, pressure hose, and strap. Cut the hose end square before fitting. Warm the end briefly, then push it onto the plastic tapered fitting past the cone. Tighten the outer nut so the hose cannot be pulled off under pressure. Repeat these steps at the tank connection. Check the joint before the first pressurised use.
