Handheld pressure sprayer 1.7 litre EPOCA Ecolove 8017 for garden watering

The 360 degree garden pressure sprayer from EPOCA covers plant care tasks that need a fine, controlled mist. The tank holds 1700 ml, with 1500 ml of usable volume. That capacity suits routine watering of indoor plants, balconies and small garden beds. A funnel-shaped filling mouth keeps pouring clean and quick. The body is moulded from recyclable plastic, so worn units can enter a recycling stream.

Pressure is built by the integrated pump handle, which also works as the carry grip. A safety valve limits pressure inside the tank, with a maximum working value of 3 bar. The handheld lance connects through a flexible pressure-rated hose. Spray direction can follow the operator around the plant rather than the other way round. A detachable shoulder strap frees one hand during longer sessions. The sprayer is made in Italy by EPOCA.

Tank, filling and carrying

Filling starts at the funnel mouth, which guides liquid into the tank without spills. The stated capacity is 1700 ml, while working volume stays at 1500 ml to leave an air cushion for pumping. The pump handle folds into a carry grip. A removable shoulder strap shifts the load when you move between rows of plants or rooms.

• Tank capacity: 1700 ml
• Usable liquid volume: 1500 ml
• Funnel-shaped mouth for easy decanting
• Integrated pump handle doubling as carry handle
• Detachable shoulder strap
• Recyclable plastic body

Fill only to the marked working volume, then close the pump head firmly. The remaining headspace is what stores compressed air. Pumping fewer strokes gives a softer mist, while more strokes raise output. Empty the tank after use with chemical solutions and rinse it with clean water. That routine keeps the seals and nozzle passages clear between jobs.

Pressure system and safety valve

A manual pump pressurises the tank, and a safety valve releases excess pressure before it becomes a risk. Maximum working pressure is 3 bar. The flexible hose between tank and lance is rated for pressure service, so it holds shape during repeated cycles. Keep the valve clean and check that it moves freely before each working session.

• Maximum pressure: 3 bar
• Safety valve against over-pressure
• Manual pump operation
• Pressure-rated flexible hose to the lance
• Handheld spray lance

Release residual pressure through the safety valve before opening the tank. This step matters when the sprayer has been standing in sunlight. Inspect the hose connection for leaks each time you refit the lance. If spray output drops, check the nozzle first, then the hose, then the pump seal. Simple checks like these keep the unit working across a full season.

Spray lance and adjustable nozzle

The nozzle tip turns to change the jet pattern. A fine mist suits seedlings, leaves and indoor plants. A tighter jet reaches further for shrubs or hanging baskets. Because the lance is handheld and fed by a hose, you can aim under foliage or over the top of a plant without tilting the whole tank.

• Adjustable nozzle for mist to jet patterns
• Handheld lance, separate from the tank
• Spray direction adjustable around the plant
• Suitable for water and garden treatment solutions

Match the pattern to the task. Mist reduces run-off on delicate leaves. A narrower jet works better for spot treatment on stems. Clean the nozzle tip with water after each use so mineral deposits do not block the orifice. Store the lance attached to the tank to avoid losing small parts.

Common applications

Typical uses include watering indoor plants, misting seedlings and damping ornamental foliage. Gardeners also use the sprayer to apply pesticide or foliar solutions over small plots. The 1500 ml working volume covers a balcony or a greenhouse bench without refilling. Nurseries and plant shops use hand sprayers of this size for daily leaf misting. The unit also suits general cleaning tasks where a controlled spray of water or diluted solution is needed.

Notes before purchase

Check that the intended liquid is compatible with plastic tanks and seals. Do not exceed the 3 bar rating or the marked working volume. Store the sprayer empty and depressurised in a shaded place. Spare attention to the nozzle and safety valve will extend service life across repeated garden seasons.
